XFX’s latest nForce 790i SLI Ultra motherboard goes up against the ZOTAC 790i SLI and MSI P7N2 Diamond. Although the ZOTAC and XFX boards are reference clones, the latter scores on features and bundled extras, whereas MSI has made its own changes with "pleasing" results:
One thing is for sure, NVIDIA has done a fantastic job on its reference design. Not only have they managed to fit just about every possible expansion option into their boards, but 3-Way SLI is standard, it overclocks quite well and it supports the latest generation of CPUs.
XFX has simply slapped their sticker on the NVIDIA reference board, which is the same as what ZOTAC has done with theirs. So if you’re tossing up between these two, either will do as there are no differences to speak of.
