Xbox 360: New Pictures of Controller, XBox 360 Trackball Button - New Logo

TeamXbox - Following last month’s pictures of the supposed next generation Xbox controller, a new photo of what looks like a prototype of the Xbox 360 controller has been leaked tonight.

Once again, the glossy look of the enclosure and the absence of a logo in the front make us think that, if real, this is just a prototype of the Xbox 360 controller as the console will utilize wireless technology for its controllers. So far, the pictures released would confirm the replacement of the Black and White buttons with two shoulder buttons while the Back and Start buttons have been moved toward both sides of the Xbox 360 logo.

..This is the first official appearance [at MTV Show Taping] of the new logo, which confirms that those logos seen in last year’s marketing studies were indeed the final design. The new logo has replaced the green orb for a titanium-like sphere that has the X inserted in it. The font for the Xbox title has also been changed to more traditional characters.

Gizmodo - Here’s another — quite possibly fake — leaked pic from the forthcoming XBox Dance Dance Revolution 360. In the early phases of gestation, it appears that the XBox is growing some vestigial organs that harken back to its PC heritage.

Update: Ravi says: “That trackball is the ‘360’ button, the ‘take me to Xbox Live so I can chat and buy things and hang out and live the CONNECTED life’ button.” That makes more sense, since as he also points out, it would be a pain to use at that position.
