ViewSonic VX2435wm 24inch Monitor Review

August 16th 2007 | Displays

Computer monitors are slowing morphing into multi-purpose displays. Viewsonic’s VX2435wm is a prime example. Not only does the 24.1-inch widescreen display support regular computer inputs, but it also accommodates HDMI (HDCP compliant), component video and S-Video inputs, making the multi-talented display excellent value if you want to connect a Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive or a next-generation videogames console. And thanks to the integrated stereo speakers, the Viewsonic VX2435wm looks and feels more like a regular TV than a computer monitor.

..ViewSonic’s VX2435wm does a great job of turning your desktop into an entertainment centre. The 24-inch widescreen display does not produce the absolute best image quality on the market (for this you’ll need an Eizo), but with a stylish design and support for premium high-definition resolutions you can work and play in native HD formats at a very affordable price. The 1000:1 contrast ratio, high brightness and fast response time levels produce bright, sharp, detailed images and extremely vibrant colours that should be appreciated by anyone other than professional designers.
