Tyan Launches Eight-Way AMD Opteron Board

Tyan used Computex to launch their new 8-Way Opteron server system. That’s right, EIGHT processors (16 if you go dual core)! The system consists of two parts; the Tyan Thunder K8 QW (S4881) and the Tyan Transport VX50 (B4881).

The design and implementation of the Thunder K8 QW (S4881) offers the option to upgrade to four or eight-way processing capabilities.
