This is not just a cooling pad; it is a USB hub, Card Reader, “Laptop Desk” all in one. It elevates your laptop off of the ground to let air under it, which makes cooling easier. By lifting it off the ground it makes it easier to type. Also included you get a USB hub and card reader. That’s a definite plus. The pad itself is not made of cheap plastic, but rather light aluminum which conducts heat much better. And the aluminum gives it a nice stylish finish.
