Thermaltake Thermalrock Eclipse ATX Computer Case Review

August 11th 2005 | Cases & Acc.

The Eclipse has proven to be an excellent chassis. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, and this case has a lot to behold. The combination of both bold and subtle styling elements gives the Eclipse a unique look and a burley stance. Whether you like the looks or not (and I find it very visually appealing), you can’t deny that the feature set is outstanding. It’s a lightweight, quiet, cool-running mid-tower chassis with plenty of room for all your goodies.

ThermalRock has also provided a multi-faceted security system to help you keep those goodies where they belong. Well-designed elements inside the case make for virtually trouble-free installation, even without a removable motherboard tray. A web search shows good availability at online retailers. With a price tag of around 120 USD, you certainly can’t call the Eclipse a budget case, but you get what you pay for in this market and I would consider this to be an excellent case at a reasonable price.
