Thermaltake has made one the most expandable HTPC chassis that we’ve looked at. The LANBox HT supports up to 3x HDD’s and 2x as well as the 7” Bay LCD monitor (A2471) from Thermaltake. It also support any external water cooling kits such as Thermaltake “ Big water 760i.” The fans that are installed on the chassis are silent- we couldn’t hear any noise and that’s exactly what an HTPC user wants.
Using media lab was serious fun although configuring it with the front LCD and the Remote Control takes a bit of patience, however, the end result is worth it. The LCD display shows the CPU Info, OS Info, HDD’s Info, Emails, Graphic Equalizer , Time and date , headlines news as well as a customized message when you turn the PC off. The Remote Control that comes with the case is amazing- it has hundreds of functions, the best of which are the mouse/keyboard functions, lunching media lab and shutting down the PC and turning it back on.
All in all, the Thermaltake Lanbox HT is a good looking chassis with great and functions.
