For anyone wanting to start working with music making software or want to move up from using groove/electronic music based software such as Reason or Fruity Loops, Cubase is essential.
For those who might feel that the full version is a bit too expensive, Cubase Studio 4 is a scaled down affordable version that omits some of the full version features such as the Control Room, 5.1 mixing and some plug-ins such as Spector, but is still a great piece of software. If you use a Windows PC or MacBook Pro and want to get serious about making music, Cubase 4 is the sequencer to beat.
If you’ve never used a sequencer of this calibre you’ll need to spend a lot of time with manual in hand, but if you’re committed you won’t find anything better. [9.5] - Editors’ Choice!
