This article represents the USeR Experience results of many hours of gaming abuse with the SteelSound 4H. These headsets are the budget-friendly sibling to the highly regarded 5H. At nearly US$30 cheaper than the 5H, the 4H promises the same comfort and sound reproduction offered in the 5H series.
..The SteelSound 4H represents a benefit for the gamer interested in the quality and support offered by SteelSeries, but who finds the entry price a bit daunting. A simpler version of the 5H in the form of the 4H will change that price-point pain. While some users will remain proponents of the flexibility and travel-friendly design of the SteelSound 5H model, the 4H retains quite a bit of the original design at what is quickly becoming half the price.
We really like the direction that SteelSeries went with this product change. They are able to attract a wider buying audience without losing sound quality. Not many manufacturers would be willing to take that step.
