The product we’re reviewing this time is a set of headset and sound card from the manufacturer SteelPad which goes by the name “5H”. As opposed to other companies that manufacture sound components for the PC, SteelPad’s sole purpose is supplying quality gaming gear for those who require it. Last year, the company has decided to enter the audio market and launched the 5H headset, with the hopes to conquer the ears of gamers everywhere.
Unlike most of the surround sound headsets which are sold these days, this set is only stereophonic. How would a single pair of drivers be able to handle surround sound games and movies? Today there are a lot of sound altering algorithms which simulate surround sound with only a couple of sound elements, and some of them are even quite good. The 5H set is no different, offering us a surround sound experience, although only simulated, with only a single pair of drivers.
