SOLTEK - Soltek K8AN2E-GR nForce3 250Gb S-754 Motherboard Review

September 29th 2004 | Hardware

Overall, the feature list for the K8AN2E-GR is quite extensive, though it’s nothing extreme when compared to some other nForce3 250 motherboards. Keeping in mind this Soltek motherboard holds a retail value of just $100 US, it’s much easier to appreciate the features that it does offer. Although integrated peripherals make up a large proportion of the board’s features, there are also chipset and processor support features. The K8AN2E-GR not only boasts support for the Athlon 64 processor, but it also features the nForce3 250 chipset offering DDR400, HyperTransport and AGP 8X.

. . . Overall, Soltek has created an impressive motherboard and I have struggled to find much wrong with the K8AN2E-GR. For a high-end AMD64 motherboard, the K8AN2E-GR is priced very well at just $100 US. Sure it has a few less features than some of the other high-end motherboards, but at this price they will go unnoticed. The performance of the K8AN2E-GR easily met the expectations of a high-end motherboard. The Soltek K8AN2E-GR will be a sort after product for anyone hunting down an extremely affordable, high performance AMD64 motherboard.
