SilenX Ultra Quiet Temperature Controlled Case Fans Review

You have to keep that box cool. I mean, that’s what it all boils down to. Not taking into account voltage irregularities, heat is the primary killer. The most common means of battling excessive heat is through case fans. You may think that all fans are created equally, but I’m here to report otherwise. I had the privilege of reviewing a SilenX 400watt PSU a while back, and I just couldn’t speak fondly enough about it. So when I found out that we had been shipped some of their 80mm fans, I jumped on the opportunity to review them.

. . . I would like to say that I am amazed, however I am beginning to expect excellence from this company. These fans perform fantastically. Airflow is impressive, the thermistor is a nice feature for those who don’t own a fan controller, and the silence is golden. I am seriously considering ordering 2 of these units to replace the remaining Antecs in my Lian-Li case (the front intakes which cool my hard drives).
