SHUTTLE - Shuttle SN45G XPC Review

June 28th 2003 | Hardware

The previous AMD supportive XPC named SN41G2 became a very attractive solution for gamers as it offered all that a gamer would look for in a SFF PC. These things not only included the nForce2 chipset but also DDR333/400 support along with 6-Channel Audio, Firewire and AGP 8X. However, this early revision of the nForce2 chipset only supported 333MHz FSB AMD Athlon processors and not the new 400MHz FSB of the Barton XP3000+ processors. Therefore, Shuttle have updated the SN41G2 with the SN45G featuring the new nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset. While the majority of the SN45G features remain the same the addition of the nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset is well worth the update.
