Yahoo News - Sharp Electronics of Japan said it will begin August by selling the world’s biggest liquid crystal display (LCD) television measuring 65 inches (165 centimeters) diagonally.
The Aquos high-definition television will cost 1.68 million yen (15,500 dollars) with only 300 units to be initially produced each month, Sharp said. The giant TV enters a market for large high-definition televisions in which LCD models have been absent.
Sharp said in a statement the giant TV will provide "life-like, high-definition images on an impressively large screen."
