At the 2006 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Sennheiser debuted a trio of mid-level headphones. The new series is meant to filter down some of the design improvements from its high priced models to more moderate consumers. Two of these, the HD 415 and HD 435 are technically very similar, differing only cosmetically in design and accessories. Both feature 40mm drivers, an open air design, and clean contemporary styling.
Sennheiser’s HD 415’s offer true and accurate sound production at a reasonable price. Although they look hip enough for the street, the open air configuration makes them more at home in quieter places. Sennheiser’s HD 415’s are recommended for music enthusiasts looking for a quality replacement for their stock headsets.
