Seagate has pushed the capacity of their desktop drives even further with the release of the Barracuda 7200.10 750GB hard drive. The Barracuda 7200.10 is not the first Seagate desktop drive to support the new SATA 3Gb/s transfer protocol. Neither is it the first Seagate desktop drive to support NCQ (Native Command Queuing). But it is the first 3.5″ drive from Seagate to feature the new Perpendicular Recording technology which we first saw in the Seagate Momentus 5400.3 hard drive.
We think you will be glad to know that it comes with a magnificent 5-year limited warranty. While this does not guarantee that this hard drive won’t quit on you in the next five years, it does show the amount of confidence Seagate has in the reliability of this model.
