The Sapphire X800XL Ultimate edition proves that getting anything less than the highest end doesn’t really take away from your gaming experience. The ability to deliver great frame rate even under the most challenging of resolution, AF, or AA settings for a decent price puts this card into reach of many people who would otherwise not be able to afford the bleeding edge. Lagging behind the X850XT PE by about 15% but costing as much as 30% less definitely shows value.
The cooler on this card is where the true value is. Having a larger cooler that pays attention to what is needed, great heat dissipation at low noise, is often key to many people. Furthermore, being able to overclock this card as a result of the ramsinks and large cooler definitely is a consideration for people who are not always the average user.
