Samsung ML-2152W Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer

August 27th 2004 | Peripherals

Overall, the Samsung Ml-2152W can be considered a true workhorse. With it small size, it can fit in most home offices, yet still be capable in a small office environment. The duplex capability is usually an option on laserjets, but on the Samsung it is standard. With the ability to print on both sides of a page, it is great for saving paper. The wireless capability really increases its versatility and placement options. With solid features, and enduring print performance, the printer is a winner, however, with its higher price tag, it may not fit into everyone’s budget and there are other printers that cost less that provide similar performance, albeit without the cool wireless functionality or duplex capability.

Pros
Wireless capability allows printer to be placed almost anywhere
Duplex printing capability is a bonus and saves paper. Great for flyers.
Solid print quality, especially on specialty laserjet paper.
Meets its own claim of 20 pages per minute on most if not all black and white output, even with graphics.
Cons
Price! It’s a lot of money for a LaserJet, even if the duplex and wireless features are cool.
The wireless capability was a bit confusing to setup at first, but if you read the manual, and follow things step by step, you should be good to go.

Overall: 8.0
