Press Release - Samsung, the world’s leading manufacturer of TFT computer monitors and professional displays, continues to flex its technology muscle with introduction of two new multi-talented, large-screen LCD monitors that exceed the requirements of today’s most demanding computing applications.

The SyncMaster 214T ($859 Estimated Street Price) and SyncMaster 244T ($1,699 Estimated Street Price) offer corporate, financial and home users a spacious 21.3-inch and 24-inch viewing area respectively, that deliver crisp clean text and bright, vivid colors. Both monitors will be on display during CES 2006 at the Samsung booth, #11033 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 5th - 8th. The SyncMaster 214T and SyncMaster 244T are currently shipping nationwide.

Designed for the business or home user who requires a larger display viewing area, the SyncMaster 214T features a 1600 x 1200 maximum resolution, a 900:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angle. Ideal for high-end applications such as CAD/CAM fine-detailed drawings, desktop publishing and content creation, the SyncMaster 244T offers a stunning 1920 x 1200 maximum resolution, a high 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 178-degree viewing angle. The 244T also includes a USB hub with one upstream and two downstream ports conveniently located on the side of the bezel for easy access of peripheral devices.

Both displays utilize Samsung’s Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA), for users who demand image display perfection. PVA is the latest technology advancement in liquid crystal cell structure for improved viewing. Each monitor is perfect for those who require data and graphics that are accurately displayed with photo-realistic image quality.

Available in attractive silver and black cabinet colors, the SyncMaster 214T and SyncMaster 244T incorporate Picture-In-Picture and Picture-By-Picture capabilities, allowing users to view two sources of video at the same time. The 214T features composite and S-Video inputs allowing for direct hook up to a DVD player, VCR, set top box or any video device. In addition, the 244T offers a component video input for an improved level of video quality. The 244T is HDTV-Ready, capable of supporting High Definition resolutions including 480p, 720p and 1080i/p.
