This makes the V700 a very cost effective solution for shoppers looking for an affordable yet feature packed solution. Another upside to the V700 over its competitors is MPEG movie compression.

There are very few cameras in the $300 price range that offers the photographic control of the V700. If you can get over the shutter lag and high noise level then this camera is a very tempting point and shoot solution.
