Saitek GM3200 3200dpi Laser Gaming Mouse Review

July 6th 2007 | Peripherals

While Saitek is probably best known for their line of gaming keyboards, they also manufacture quite a few different PC game controllers including mice. Today I will be checking out the first ever 3200 DPI laser gaming mouse made by Saitek, simply called the GM3200. In addition to adjustable DPI it features programmable buttons and macros, and also adjustable weights.

..Despite its large size, I found this mouse to be a pleasure to use. With six programmable buttons, four DPI settings that can be changed on-the-fly, and removable weights it will appeal to a wide range of gamers with all the customization options. Response time is superb and two button profiles can be saved with Saitek’s SST programming software. Even the traction on the bottom of the mouse can be adjusted by flipping over the weight covers. 3200 DPI proved to be a little too sensitive for my taste, but some will find it a welcome feature and at the time of this writing the GM3200 is the only mouse available that has this function. Top this mouse off with a unique paint job and pulsating light up logo and it’s a welcome addition to any gaming rig.
