This isn’t the first illuminated keyboard I have reviewed here on Tweaknews.net and it probably won’t be the last. But one thing I know is that all of them will have to be compared to the Eclipse II to prove whether they are worth buying. Although it isn’t cordless, in my mind it is the nicest keyboard I have reviewed here in the main testing lab. The keys are quiet and responsive and I get this overall feeling that I am not screwing up typing as much as I was doing on the other keyboard. I know it is just a keyboard but you really have to feel just how nice this keyboard is to use regardless of the illumination.
But yes, the main feature of this keyboard is the customizable illumination. Although it won’t really help you when doing your daily work, it does help when gaming in a dark environment such as at a LAN gaming event. The lighting does help surprisingly well in those situations and you won’t be hunting for keys you cannot see anymore.
