PS3 release date, pricing revealed?

Right around the top of everyone’s list of burning questions (maybe right beneath "What’s up with Tom Hanks’ hair?" but right above "Where do we go when we die?") is: "When will the PS3 come out and what will it cost?"

Well, PlayStation Magazine is offering some answers. The latest issue claims to have the official launch info, reporting that the PS3 and its online service will arrive in early November for a cool $399.

We put in a call to Sony. What did they have to say about this announcement? "No official price point or specific date in November has been officially announced by Sony Worldwide to any publication."
