Panasonic recently launched four new compacts to whet the appetite of even the most professional of photographers, the Panasonic Lumix FX38, FX180, FZ28 and the much anticipated LX3. Singapore’s HardwareZone has published a sneak peek of what you can expect from Panasonic’s latest lineup:
With this much on offer from Panasonic, there’s sure to be a compact for just about anyone who’s looking to get their hands on a new camera.
The LX3 is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated compacts to hit the current market. The sensor is larger than most regular compact cameras: checking in at 1/1.63-inches, the LX3’s sensor seems to have met the requirement that most camera buffs have been hoping for. The regular paradox is that camera manufacturers are trying to cramp too many megapixels unto smaller sensor, which usually result in photos with poor ISO control, especially at the higher values. In this case, the LX3 clocks in at 10.1MP, and with the larger sensor to boot, we believe the photos taken will be of an exceptional quality, coming from a compact.
