Thanks to its diminutive size, the OCZ 1GB Mini-Kart certainly has an edge over its competitors. It’s so thin (2.8mm thick) you can keep it in your wallet! Those who are looking for something unobtrusive will certainly love its ultra-slim profile.
However, it was very slow at writing large files, because of its slower Samsung flash memory chips. It managed to redeem itself a little in the small files write test, but still it wasn’t anything to shout about. We still feel that the OCZ 1GB Mini-Kart deserves a Reviewer’s Choice Award.
While its write performance is far from stellar, it certainly has excellent read performance. In addition, no one can deny that it is unique in its remarkably slim and short profile. That is something that will ensure its place in the market and in our pockets. Congratulations, OCZ!
