In addition to opening a new regional office in Beijing, Nvidia plans to set up an R&D center in eastern China, which will focus on consumer electronics product development, according to George Man, general manager of sales in China for Nvidia.
Nvidia recently opened its Beijing office, which will target sales promotion, customer service and technical support for the region, as well as working with Nvidia’s current offices and design centers in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
In China, demand growth for consumer electronics products such as high-definition TVs (HDTVs) and set-top boxes (STBs) is outpacing PC growth, Man noted.
