nForce4 Intel
Nvidia is expected to start delivering a core-logic chipset that supports Intel-based CPUs in 2005, and last week the company signed a multi-year, cross-license agreement with the chip giant, according to sources at Taiwan motherboard makers. Nvidia’s entry into the Intel CPU market is, however, unlikely to have a major impact on Taiwan chipset makers since they will focus their efforts on producing chipsets for the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) K8 platform, the sources noted.
