NVIDIA SLI Support - Getting Better

March 23rd 2005 | NVIDIA

A new driver from NVIDIA has improved SLI support and brought new features to the table. Inside we not only test this latest driver, focusing on SLI support and performance, but we also comment on what we would like to see in future iterations of NVIDIA’s SLI.

..NVIDIA has made some very important strides in support of SLI with ForceWare 71.84. We are very glad to see the supported games list increase to over 70 games. We expect to see this list grow larger in the future. We are very glad to see the inclusion of a method to force whatever SLI mode you want in games that do not have profiles yet. We are also glad NVIDIA is providing a means for editing existing profiles yourself. Obviously, this feature is for advanced users that know what they are doing. This isn’t exactly novice user friendly yet. We hope to see this continue to develop and become part of the driver itself so that you don’t have to go through so many menus to enable the feature and edit the settings. Many out there are timid when it comes to editing the registry and messing with profiles.
