Chief Scientist David Kirk to Speak on Recent Graphics Innovations
(IDF)—SAN FRANCISCO, CA—SEPTEMBER 7, 2004—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced it will showcase a full line-up of products and technologies at the Intel Developers Forum (IDF). The demonstrations, which include PCI Express-compatible solutions from NVIDIA, highlight the Company’s technology leadership. Additionally, NVIDIA Chief Scientist David Kirk will deliver a presentation on recent innovations in computer graphics. Mr. Kirk’s presentation is today at 11:00 a.m., Room 303, Moscone Center, and is open to all conference attendees including the media.
NVIDIA, a Gold Sponsor of the event, will show the following demonstrations in booth #304:
The Hottest Game of the Year
NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs) deliver unrivaled performance for id Software’s Doom3, one of the most anticipated computer games in history. Attendees will be able to experience the exhilaration that is sweeping the gaming community.
Virtual Sets for Film Production
Brainstorm, Encodacam, and NVIDIA will demonstrate how NVIDIA Quadro® FX 4000 SDI makes virtual sets for broadcast and film– including the movie “I, Robot” — become a reality.
Powerful Flight Simulation Technology
Aechelon Technology, Inc. and NVIDIA will demonstrate an ultra high-resolution, full-mission flight training system with unprecedented image quality and performance. The demo runs on a PCI Express-based pC-NOVA™ v3.0 image generation system, using the power of two Intel® Xeon™ processors, the Intel E7525 chipset, and NVIDIA® SLI™ (Scalable Link Interface) Multi-GPU technology.
Additionally, NVIDIA will showcase the following:
NVIDIA PCI Express Solutions
NVIDIA will display its complete line-up of PCI Express computing solutions including the top-to-bottom family of PCI Express–enabled GeForce™ GPUs for desktop PCs, PCI Express-enabled NVIDIA Quadro GPUs for workstation PCs and PCI Express-enabled NVIDIA GeForce Go GPUs for notebook computers. These products recently passed rigorous testing by the PCI-SIG and were added to the PCI-SIG Integrators List.

NVIDIA SLI Multi-GPU Technology
NVIDIA SLI (Scalable Link Interface) technology is a hardware and software solution that enables system builders to connect two PCI Express-based NVIDIA GeForce 6 Series or NVIDIA Quadro GPUs in a single system. The patent-pending technology works by intelligently scaling geometry and fill rate performance for two GPUs to achieve a stunning increase in graphics performance.
MXM™
The Mobile PCI-Express Module specification (MXM) was jointly designed by NVIDIA and the industry’s leading notebook PC manufacturers to create a consistent graphics interface that will accelerate the time to market for PCI-Express-based notebooks. By allowing for a single motherboard design to be leveraged into multiple notebooks, MXM can support a wide range of graphics solutions, from any hardware manufacturer, enabling integrators to build their systems to order. MXM can also be used to upgrade notebook PC graphics. MXM will be demonstrated on the Intel Alviso mobile chipset at IDF.
GeForce 6 Video Processing
