NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Official Numbers

Nvidia said that it got these numbers on Asus production Nforce 4 Ultra SLI board powered with 4000+. Nvidia said that the drivers is used were optimised for Intel’s Tumwater chipset. You might expect even higher numbers with new drivers and faster CPUs such as the flagship FX 55. Two 6600GTs in SLI will be faster than one 6800 Ultra in Halo and 3Dmark05 but not in Doom 3. TWO 6800 Ultra cards will give you huge performance boost for hefty price of course. It’s safe to say it will run 60 per cent faster than one card.

Here are the Nvidia results. It’s a little like that old black and white movie where some lucky chap got tomorrow’s paper with all the results of the 3.30PM Newmarket nag race, however.
