The Inquirer’s ‘Nforce 4 for Intel SLI rocks’ article takes a look at performance and availability for NVIDIA’s nForce4 SLI Intel Edition motherboards:
Some of the review sites are happy with the performance of the board. However, tier two motherboard manufacturers are still struggling to bring Nforce 4 SLI for Intel designs on market. We know that quite a few of them are unhappy with the performance of this chipset and claim it won’t perform as fast as AMD Nforce 4 parts. Many tier two firms actually delayed the introduction of these boards as well and everyone seems to have lost their initial enthusiasm that tier two will be able to introduce boards along with tier ones when it comes to Intel’s version of SLI. Tier one wins this round again.
So Tier one performance of Nforce 4 SLI for Intel is there but then again it’s extremely hard to buy one at least in Europe.
