NVIDIA nForce 590 and AMD FX-62 review

May 23rd 2006 | nForce 500

AMD today released the new AM2 socket design processors, along with the release of several models processors based on that AM2 design. In today’s review we’ll be testing the all new AMD64 FX-62 on something new from NVIDIA. NVIDIA today introduced the AM2 compatible NVIDIA nForce 500 series. We’ll be taking their flagship mainboard as made by FoxConn to new heights, the nForce 590 SLI is ALL about tweaking, overclocking thus pretty much fun stuff for the enthusiast user. Obviously a DDR2 platform with all new EPP (SLI-Ready) DDR2 memory capability requires some good memory to test, and therefor we test some cool Corsair DDR2 memory at .. 1066 MHz !

…The nForce 590 series is an extremely fast, tweakable and resourceful platform for the aficionado high-end PC user .. anything else is just a mainboard
