NVIDIA MCP61S IGP Released as nForce 6100-405 - AsRock

AsRock announced that a new nVidia MCP61S IGP based AM2 main board is coming in this month, model AM2NF6G-VSTA R2. According to AsRock, MCP61 is designated as nForce 6100-405. nVidia MCP61S IGP is a mix of north and south bridge in a single chip, based on C51 and MCP51 with some simplification. The mix offers a better Dollars-per-Performance.

Geforce 6 is the soul of the graphic part of MCP61S. It supports DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.0. Windows Vista Premium logo is also awarded. Standard Definition Pure Video and PCI-E x8 are supported also, but not PCI-Ex16. Functions of the south bridge is similar to nForce 410, with 2 SATAII supporting RAID 0, 1, and JBOD, build-in 10/100 Ethernet, 8 USB 2 interface and 7.1 High Definition Audio.
