NVIDIA Licenses Pentium 4 Chipset - nForce5 Is Real

Jen Hsun once said that Intel charges too much for its chipset licence and I guess he had to accept the fact that Nvidia don’t have any other choice than to pay. He confirmed today that Nvidia is working on Nforce and PCIe SLI graphic architecture for Intel platforms. There goes ATI’s Pentium 4 SLI advantage.

No one mentioned anything about timing and availability but it’s our job to ask around and to try to answer that question for you. The deal is broader than just Nvidia licensing the Intel north bridge for the Pentium 4. According to Intel, it spans a broad range of technologies, details of which have not been disclosed.
