NVIDIA’s GeForce 6600 GT graphic processing unit (GPU) and the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI-based Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard have been awarded the 2005 PC World "World Class" Award.

This is the 23rd year that PC World editors have issued the awards — which were chosen based on exemplary design and usability, features, performance, innovation, and price. Winners were announced in the July 2005 issue of PC World Magazine.

"We are honored to have our processors recognized by PC World, one of the most widely-read and frequently awarded computer publications," said Dan Vivoli, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at NVIDIA. "NVIDIA nForce and GeForce are a powerful foundation for the complete range of PCs — from the mainstream user looking for seamless compatibility and full features to the enthusiasts looking for maximum performance and unmatched image quality."

Launched in 1983, the PC World World Class Awards are awarded to the best products of the year as selected by PC World editors in hardware, software, Web sites, and services-products for work, home, and everywhere in between. PC World editors chose the 2005 World Class Award winners after evaluating hundreds of products over the past 12 months.
