NVIDIA G70 Goes Mobile - GeForce Go7800GTX

September 19th 2005 | Laptops

Nvidia is launching even more products based on its G70 architecture. After two desktop models, 7800GTX and its castrated sibling, 7800GT - the time has come for the mobile world, and G70Go. The product will be named GeForce Go7800GTX, and is oriented towards desktop replacement notebooks (DTRs).

The main features are even more aggressive power optimisation, dubbed PowerMizer, and upgradeable drivers from the official website. Unlike previous generations, Nvidia didn’t allow itself to be bullied by "laptop-commies", and now the company has announced that over 10 OEMs, including Alienware, Falcon NW, Voodoo and others although the name "Dell" was not present on any of the slides, will offer support for classic ForceWare driver updates.
