NVIDIA just published a press release stating that they settled their Xbox pricing differences. Some of you may remember back a few months, Microsoft and NVIDIA couldnt agree on the prices of the Xbox GPU and MCP chipset. Well it seems that’s all behind us now.
“This is a win for both companies, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the results,” said Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO at NVIDIA. “NVIDIA and Microsoft can now take our partnership to the next level and focus our substantial resources to maximize the full potential of Xbox game console.”
“With the arbitration resolved, we look forward to continuing the partnership between Microsoft and NVIDIA and turning our focus to building on the great success of the Xbox platform,” stated Robbie Bach, senior vice president of Microsoft and Chief Xbox Officer.”
NVIDIA says it’s all water under the bridge, and we should expect to hear more from them when NVIDIA has their quarterly conference call next Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003. Which brings up our next questions of course. Will NVIDIA be working with Microsoft on the Xbox2? Lets get the rumor mill going…
