nForce Unified Drivers 2.42

NVIDIA has responded to user issues with the recent 2.41 Unified Drivers by updating its driver download page with a new set labelled 2.42. If you’ve already downloaded the 2.41s you won’t need the new ones, they’re exactly the same as the previous set minus the problematic enhanced IDE drivers. There’s no ‘update’ for Win9X or Linux, just WIn2000 and WinXP (detailed below).

Just remember these enhanced IDE drivers are optional - meaning you get to choose whether or not to use them during the installation. They obviously aren’t 100% compatible with every system yet, so if you have doubts or you don’t have a Ghosted setup… just say no to them when the installer asks. More links are in the nForce Drivers forum and if you need a hand installing them drop a post in there.

Also, rear speaker issues with mono only output have already been indentified & fixed ready for inclusion in the next set of drivers - or perhaps via Windows Update (heh, I said VIA):
