Press release – As teased in a previous press-release, we are always trying our best to bring innovative ideas into products that will benefit our users. This time is no different.
In late 2004, we released the Icemat Siberia headset, which have been a success story for Icemat due to the acceptance by many people, but still some people were sceptic, due to the special microphone which was not attached to the headset.
We have accepted this feedback, and it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that we will be releasing an add-on to our Icemat Siberia headset, where you are able to attach and detach a microphone to the side of the headset. That way it still does not annoy you when you are not playing games, because you just detach the microphone and then use the headset as a regular headphone.
The special features, does however, not end here. The microphone will be released together with a table-foot, so that the microphone can also be used as a table-microphone. We have insured that the new unidirectional microphone will prevent unwanted noise from your surroundings.
The idea with the update of this microphone is to fully benefit the particular users and especially the gaming people, who were somewhere sceptical about the loose microphone, which could be attached to your monitor, cord or collar. We recommend the original Icemat Siberia microphone for multi-purpose use, as we believe that it is a better fit for all-around-environments.
The new add-on microphone is expected to hit the market late 2005.
