New Corsair Low Latency Modules & TwinX Memory Kits

January 11th 2003 | Memory

Corsair, one of the leading manufacturers of ultra-performance DDR DRAM modules, has two new products in the pipeline: 256MB and 512MB low latency modules. These will be available as dual bank tested memory kits - tested as a pair to ensure optimal performance, compatibility and stability - especially for nForce2 and Granite Bay.

The low latency modules from Corsair will have the most aggressive settings programmed in the SPD (Serial Presence Detect) :

CMX256A-2700LL
256MB
166 MHz DDR
2-2-2-5-1T Timing
CMX512-2700LL
512MB
166 MHz DDR
2-2-2-5-1T Timing
CMX256A-3200LL
256MB
200 MHz DDR
2-2-2-6-1T Timing
CMX512-3200LL
512MB
200 MHz DDR
2-2-2-6-1T Timing

The low latency modules are for users who don’t want to play around in the BIOS trying to set the memory manually to the best timings - they can rely on the SPD option in the BIOS instead.

The kits - dubbed TwinX - will be available as 512MB and 1GB solutions.

TWINX512-2700LL
2x 256MB
166 MHz DDR
2-2-2-5-1T Timing
TWINX1024-2700LL
2x 512MB
166 MHz DDR
2-2-2-5-1T Timing
TWINX512-3200LL
