MSI’s latest K9N series utilizes the latest nForce 590 SLI / 570 SLI / 570 chipsets, supporting the new generation Socket AM2 with dual channel DDR2 800. In addition to being the most future proofed platform currently available, the K9 Series motherboards are packed full for features such as Dual CoreCell 2, SLI, Creative Audigy Sound and heat pipe/passive cooling.
The K9N series supports a sufficient number of connectivity options for freedom and flexibility. The boards provide comes with 4-6 SATA II ports to offer independent 3Gbps high-speed bandwidth, supports RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and 2 ATA133 channels so you can connect up to 4 IDE drives. They also offer 8-10 USB 2.0 High-Speed ports to connect digital devices, and Gigabit LAN to connect to the Internet. The new K8N series is an absolute platform that can manage even the most cutting edge applications.

The series currently includes four products. First, there’s the top-end K9N Diamond (NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI) with enhanced tweaking options and performance settings. Next, there’s the K9N SLI Platinum (nForce 570 SLI), the silent SLI solution and the K9N Ultra (nForce 570), the mainstream AM2 gaming platform. Finally, there’s the K9A Platinum, the CrossFire Dual-GPU motherboard based on the ATI Radeon Xpress3200 Crossfire Dual-GPU chipset.
