German site Hartware.net has posted a user review of MSI’s nForce2 GT based MEGA 180:

After already many manufacturers - shuttle is prominent - dared themselves to the new concept of the Barebones and living room PCS, now also MSI enters into the market. In Germany so far two models of MSI are available in the cube format. With the MEGA I sat down to 180 with nForce2 chip set out each other now and for HTPC and PC abilities examined.

..The hardware achievement of the MSI MEGA 180 is perfectly sufficient for MP3-Wiedergabe and also for DivX admission. Gelegenheitszocker are served likewise. The HiFi mode succeeded very well, even if this by an additional HDD mode (thus playing MP3 without Windows), how one it by the ASUS Digimatrix knows, be extended could. The distance operation is unfortunately a disappointment, since the receipt diode lies too far in the housing. The MSI Media center is likewise only sufficiently, fortunately however sufficient different high-quality, but not "merged" programs is settled. Also to a few computer knowledge and e.g. myHTPC a quantity can be reached. Who would not like to use however the PC functions, should umschauen itself rather after a KISS DVD Player with LAN connection.
