MSI – MSI K7N2G-LISR nForce2 IGP Review

February 6th 2003 | Hardware

HardwareZone.com has posted a review of the MSI K7N2G-LISR (nForce2 IGP/MCP-T):

“Unlike many other motherboards with integrated graphics that are equipped with only the basic features, the MSI K7N2G-LISR nForce2-GT motherboard has taken the exact opposite path. Traditionally, the nomenclature was users who are content with built-in graphics are not savvy PC users, hence the paltry extras offered. The MSI K7N2G-LISR is probably one of the few boards or even possibly the first board with integrated graphics to be extensively featured. With an nForce2 MCP-T Southbridge, the K7N2G-LISR had all of the MCP-T’s attributes implemented except for DualNet. Of course there is still the SoundStorm APU with the Interactive Dolby Encoder and Firewire. On top of that is SATA and IDE-RAID offered by the Promise PDC20376 controller. A number of brackets are provided to maximize the board’s features such as MSI’s D-Bracket, S-Bracket, Firewire bracket and the TV-Out bracket. This motherboard is very ideal for building systems for home users and as well as office usage. Practically everything is on-board or given in the motherboard package – thus, you would hardly even need to occupy any of the five PCI slots.”
