MSI - MSI K7N2G-L IGP Review @ Deviant PC

January 29th 2003 | Hardware

DeviantPC has just reviewed the MSI K7N2G-L IGP nForce2 board. This is the first MSI board featuring an Integrated Graphics Processor.

“The IGP version of the nForce2 has all the same subsystem features the SPP version does, only with integrated GeForce 4 MX graphics. Should we believe all the hype, we are looking at great subsystem performance with the reduced hassle of no graphics cards. While the performance hungry may balk at the suggestion of an integrated platform, this could be the perfect solution for mid-range and business users looking for an easy, hassle-free, good performance system.”

Check out the review now for specs, as well as gaming, office and memory benchmarks, and all the details you could possibly need.

MSI K7N2G-L Review @ Deviant PC“We did have a few issues with stability on this board that I think need to be addressed. Bearing in mind the board we received was a retail board for end users the VGA BIOS was an engineering BIOS and using any memory apart from Corsair Low Latency produced either a very unstable board or no POST at all. We are currently in talks with MSI about this. I suspect these issues could be solved with a simple BIOS upgrade.”

“The nForce 2 IGP, for a small amount more than the SPP version the board comes equipped with graphics that the average user and occasional gameplayer would find perfectly adequate. The board pulls in just under 100fps in UnrealTournament2003 at default resolution, and if any extra performance is required, the board is fitted with an 8x AGP card which will effectively turn the system into an SPP setup.”
