MSI - MSI K7N2G-ILSR nForce2 IGP Review @ HardOCP

March 10th 2003 | Hardware

Sean Pelletier has posted a review of the MSI K7N2G-ILSR (nForce2 GT) over at HardOCP:

Looking at the specifications for the nForce2 chipset, it appears as though MSI has little room to differentiate themselves from other vendors. Many of the additional features MSI includes on their flagship motherboards are now standard with the nForce2 chipset. As such, the company has elected to incorporate the IGP ( Integrated Graphics Processor ) into their high-end series of nForce2 motherboards. Now many will question the appearance of a budget-oriented graphics core on a motherboard of this caliber. With so many high end features present on this motherboard, the rather dated GeForce 4 MX GPU does seem to add additional cost for no reason. Fortunately, the K7N2G-ILSR continues the MSI tradition of having exceptionally low pricing. With nearly every feature the nForce2 platform has to offer ( including the IGP ), you can find this motherboard at most major online retailers for under $140. This positions the MSI board on par with or below the prices of most other flagship nForce2 motherboards from other major vendors.
