MSI Launches SLI Mobo for Intel P4 Platform

Micro-Star International (MSI) has announced the availability of the P4N SLI motherboard for the Intel LGA-775 Pentium 4 CPUs, with a price tag of $298. The company is currently marketing its AMD K8-based SLI motherboard (K8N SLI) priced at $169.

The P4N SLI uses the Nvidia nForce4 SLI MCP (media and communication processor), which supports dual-channel DDR2-533/667 memory (up to 16GB), and the Nvidia MCP04 southbridge, which features a built-in SATA-2 controller and Gigabit networking. The SLI-ready P4N has two PCIe 16x slots, two PCIe 1x slots and two PCI interface slots. The board also has a communication slot for 802.11b/g wireless network interface card and Bluetooth transmission.
