MSI K9A Platinum Crossfire Xpress 3200 Motherboard Review

Features on the K9A Platinum come just short of the 40 point maximum that is possible on our chart. Performance is right there among the best of the AMD AM2 platform so far. What is clear is the MSI K9A Platinum is an excellent example of the Crossfire Xpress 3200 solutions. Performance is on a par with the NVIDIA SLI solutions and the ability to overclock is excellent on the board.

The bottom line when choosing a high-end motherboard today is whether you want to use NVIDIA SLI or ATI Crossfire. Each solution has its own set of limitations and advantages. If you want to use multiple ATI cards, the only solution on the AMD platform is this one.
