MSI K8N Diamond Plus - 16×2 nForce4 SLI PCIe Motherboard

Asus is not the only one planning to release a motherboard based on Nvidia’s new old Nforce 4 SLI two times 16x PCIe board. [ MSI ] is ready to show the [ K8N Diamond Plus ] to the world and provide you some details.

We checked a couple places and learned that this board is still not available but we expect to see it arriving in the next few days. The board features DUAL SLI times 16 which is supposed to be a big deal, SATA 2 with RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5, Sound blaster Audigy SE audio – nice, Dual gigabit LAN cards.

Based on the hugely successful K8N Diamond, the K8N Diamond Plus is a rock em, sock em Socket 939 creation built from the latest nForce4 SLI X16 chipset. MSI has designed it with the overclocker in mind building in incrementally adjustable CPU and memory module speed settings. Don’t worry about fitting in two fat high end graphics cards either, since MSI has deliberately widened the gap between the two PCIe slots to ensure even lardiest of offerings squeezes in.

To avoid extra noise, the Plus employs a heatpipe design (similar to the Silent OTES technology we reviewed from Abit), while to create more the company has integrated a SoundBlaster Audigy SE.
