What really sets the MonCaso 932B HTPC Case apart from most of the competition is not the LCD, but rather it’s the fact that it is a full kit. For one price, albeit not a low one, the buyer gets an aluminum case, a 7″ LCD, the wireless keyboard/trackball, and the remote. Considering that HTPC cases by themselves are not cheap and that 7″ LCDs generally sell for over $200 this kit might not be as expensive as it seems. That said, if you are building a custom HTPC you may want more flexibility as to the LCD/input devices than this kit offers.
Also, while I liked the design of the 932B, the 832B kit, which does not have the 7″ LCD but still has a small display, sells for $445, about half the price of the mode we reviewed.
Overall the 932B is a solid HTPC enclosure. Its design is fundamentally quite good- well built, attractive without being attention grabbing, and it should fit right in a home theater stack- but the price and the competition on the market make is a tough sell.
