Microsoft’s EU-Compliant Windows XP ‘N’ to Retail July 1

Microsoft will release EU-compliant versions of Windows XP - without Windows Media Player - to manufacturers on June 15, with retail availability expected on July 1.

Microsoft also said Windows XP Home Edition N and XP Professional N will comply with the March 24 EC antitrust ruling. The decision said Microsoft broke European antitrust law governing competition.
